Hello and thank you for visiting our site! We are Caleb and Stacia, a husband and wife team with three children who live in Indiana. We started Elderwood Extracts so we could share our fun, delicious creations with others.

In October of 2023, we began to delve into the world of vanilla. It started with vanilla extract, continued as we learned how to make vanilla paste, and then we started to wonder what else we could create. The more we learned, the more excited we became by the possibilities. We started to incorporate more things into our everyday cooking and baking. We began sharing our creations with family and friends. In June 2024, when our church announced that they were bringing back the Mustard Seed Marketplace (a one day event in November where home vendors could sell their products to people looking for homemade gifts for the holidays), Caleb thought it would be amazing to take our dabbling to the next level. We decided we would create a little business out of our hobby and began working on what we wanted that business to look like and what it should be called. We threw around so many options, but it was our oldest son who thought of the name Elderwood. When designing our logo, we knew we wanted our foundation built on the Lord, our marriage to be the entwined efforts built on that foundation, and our children the 3 stars that inspired us. We also added in vanilla flowers to remind us where we started.

Thus Elderwood Extracts was born! We threw around so many product options for that 2024 Market and probably went a little too crazy trying to make a lot of things to sell that first go around. We learned a lot and are excited to share again in 2025. We continued some products, didn't make more of some that ran out, and added a couple of new ones. We are also open to suggestions on what to make next. Experimentation is what drew us to this world to begin with.
